Nampa man charged with DUI after crashing pickup near Payette; one passenger was injured

A Nampa driver was charged with driving under the influence after a one-car crash at 8:16 p.m. Friday, according to Idaho State Police.

Luis Velazquez, 31, of Nampa, was traveling east on Idaho 52 near Payette when he lost control of his 1995 Chevrolet pickup, causing it to roll, ISP reported.

Passenger Charles Carver Jr., 50, of Homedale, was taken to Holy Rosary Medical Center in Ontario, Ore., with unknown injuries.

Velazquez and another passenger, Charles Carver III, 23, of Caldwell, were uninjured.

Velazquez was taken to the Payette County Jail charged with DUI. This is crash is still under investigation.
