Detectives with the Canyon County Sheriff's Office notified Boise police that the two girls reported as runaways Dec. 5, 2008 from Boise have been located. The girls, Cheyenne Autumn Tawney, 12, and her sister, Shianna Victoria Tawney, 14, were found at a home in Nampa, detectives said. They appeared unharmed.
The girl's family has been notified, and both girls are being taken to a juvenile detention facility for the night. Canyon County deputies told Boise police that a citizen tip led them to the girls’ whereabouts.
The resident told officers he had seen the girls but did not know they were runaways until he saw reports about the girls in the local media.
