About two hours after he was sworn in Monday morning as Canyon County's new prosecutor, John Bujak announced two moves to enhance his office's handling of gang crimes and crimes against children.
The special assistant U.S. attorney dedicated to tackling gang crime will now work out of the Canyon prosecutor's office, and Bujak signed a memorandum of understanding to join the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force -- a statewide coalition of police and prosecutors organized through the state attorney general's office.
Joining the task force will give Canyon prosecutors access to more training and resources, he said.
