Six unfunded projects totaling $94 million have been tagged as plans for roads the Idaho Transportation Department would like to see under construction by June should Congress approve the stimulus package dedicated to infrastructure improvements.
None of the projects are in the Treasure Valley.
ITD staff has identified $817 million in projects that could be ready for construction within 180 days. Based on the current stimulus package proposals, ITD expects to receive at about $100 million.
If ITD receives more than the expected $100 million, the next item on the priority list is a rebuild of the Dover bridge on U.S. 2 in Bonner County at a cost of $40 million.
Local highway districts, like Ada County Highway District, will receive 12.6 percent of any stimulus money ITD receives.
