Five vehicles were involved in a crash on I-84 Saturday afternoon after a mattress fell off the back of a pickup truck.
According to Idaho State Police, Jeffery McNeil, 42, of Nampa, was eastbound in his 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup about 2:45 p.m. when a mattress fell out of the back of his truck near the Robinson Road overpass in Canyon County.
Amanda Cunningham, 22, of Nampa, slowed her 1996 Nissan to avoid the mattress. Then a tractor-trailer driven by Ronald Jordan, 38, of Victorville, Calif., rear-ended Cunningham's Nissan.
Next, another big rig driven by Steven Winter, 56, of Richmond, Utah, rear-ended the first semi.
Finally, Cunningham's Nissan crossed into the right lane and hit a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Merzin Ceric, 25, of Meridian. Both Cunningham and Ceric's cars went off the right shoulder of the highway.
An ambulance took Cunningham to St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center with minor injuries.
The crash slowed traffic but did not block it, police said.
