The mercury in Boise topped out at 101 Monday, the second 100-degree day this month, according to the National Weather Service. And there’s more to come.
Tuesday’s high is forecast at 100 and Wednesday’s at 101, said meteorologist Les Colin. Thursday is expected to reach 98 before things start to cool. The high on July 4? A “frigid” 88, he said.
Overnight lows in the low 60s are expected all week.
Monday’s high didn’t break last year’s record of 106, and Tuesday’s is expected to be well below the record of 110, also set last year.
Never miss a local story.
But that’s the way the weather rolls these days. Colin said the last time Boise went an entire summer without hitting 100 degrees was in 1982.
