Boise residents will see cold, wet weather off and on through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
"We've been in a very warm pattern for quite a while," said Les Colin, meteorologist for the National Weather Service's Boise office. "The really cold surge is going to come in on Monday, and Tuesday will be the coldest day."
Treasure Valley residents can expect rain Friday night and Saturday morning. But that should clear up Saturday afternoon and the sun could be out through Sunday. Come Monday, temperatures will dip below freezing.
Snow could fall Monday morning causing some slickness for commuters. Tuesday could see temperatures down in the 20s with chances of snow as well.
Never miss a local story.
But Boise residents can expect things to warm up quickly after that.
"It happens like this: back and forth for shorter and shorter durations," Colin said. "Then eventually the warm weather takes over."
Friday will bring a high of 49 degrees and a low of 34 degrees.
