Rising water at the Riviera Estates mobile home park on Eagle Island has forced residents to evacuate as their power was cut on Monday morning. Alisha Cowger and her family of 6 (not counting pets) are camping out on a friend's property for now. She's more worried about her neighbors.
Eagle Police on Wednesday posted this video of an Ada County Highway District crew removing a tree snagged on the Linder Road bridge the day before. According to the post, trees that fall into the river can exacerbate existing flooding.
USGS hydrologic technician John Wirt on Monday captured this video of a propane tank floating down the South Fork of the Boise River near Featherville. No information was available about how the tank ended up in river or if anyone removed it.
The video, taken by Robie Creek Volunteer Fire Department's assistant chief Camille Wassom, shows debris and large chunks of ice floating down Mores Creek. Wassom said the ice dam broke as she was standing on the bridge, and officials had planned to break it up with explosives.
