Two Caldwell school board members lost their posts to a recall effort Tuesday.
In District 5, the “yes” votes to oust Leif Skyving from the board outnumbered “no” votes by 296 to 227.
District 1 Trustee Amy Rojas lost her board seat by a vote of 142 to 121.
Rojas and Skyving faced recall after a June vote that removed Superintendent Tim Rosandick and Assistant Superintendent Luci Asumendi from their contracts.
Never miss a local story.
Both trustees say they faced a tough decision and could not disclose “sensitive personal information” around the decision as it would risk lawsuits against the Caldwell School District.
Rosandick had been Caldwell’s superintendent since 2012. Asumendi came to the district in 2013.
