Idaho Gov. Butch Otter hosted Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman and Mitt Romney — former governor of Massachusetts and the 2012 Republican candidate for president — at his Idaho Governor’s Trade and Business Conference Wednesday, conveniently scheduled two weeks before the election.
Afterwards Otter held a campaign event with Romney, and the the two joined Sen. Jim Risch for lunch at Five Guys Burgers in Boise’s downtown. Even though Otter's opponent, Boise businessman A.J. Balukoff, voted for Romney and gave him money in his presidential campaign, he wasn't invited.
