Can Uber-style rides work for Medicaid patients in Idaho?

Veyo, a tech startup based in San Diego, just began a $70 million three-year contract with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to provide nonemergency medical transportation to Medicaid patients. Drivers say Veyo’s payment rates and an Uber-style system are worrisome. Officials with Idaho and Veyo say the new model will be more efficient and cost-effective while paying drivers more.

Check out the progress on the new Broadway Bridge

Crews have completed the foundation of the new Broadway Bridge and are building the deck. Construction of the bridge and road improvements to Broadway Avenue will continue through the summer. This video from the Idaho Transportation Department explains the effects construction will have on traffic, the Greenbelt and river floating.
