Sharon Katz has a new company, Diverse Families, that makes dolls that look like all kinds of families. Her business has a strong nonprofit mission. For every doll that a customer buys to donate, Katz donates an additional doll. Both the Learning Lab and the Women's and Children's Alliance have benefitted from the program.
Though there is no single profile for school shooters, people at risk for hurting themselves or others often exhibit warning signs before committing acts of violence. Knowing the signs can help prevent crimes and get people the help they need.
