SNIP, or Spay and Neuter Idaho Pets, has been working to raise public awareness of the plight of black dogs and cats. Potential adopters often overlook them in shelters.
SNIP hosts regular black dog walks, though dogs of all colors are welcome to participate.
The next walk begins at noon, Sunday, Aug. 10. It starts out from the Boise Ram east parking lot, 709 Park Blvd.
Events include a free raffle, dog food samples, dog training tips and music.
