The Bureau of Land Management on Tuesday morning continued to fight a 300-acre fire about 10 miles north of Mountain Home.
The fire, called the Immigrant Fire, runs along U.S. 20. There was no indication of any related road closures as of 8 p.m., but the BLM encouraged drivers to use caution while traveling the highway.
BLM spokeswoman Keri Steneck said firefighters were able to stop most of the fire’s progress overnight, and Mountain Home firefighters were taken off of the blaze. BLM and Forest Service firefighters continue to work on it, and hand crews have been called in to navigate the steep, rocky terrain that the fire is burning across.
It wasn’t immediately clear early Tuesday how much of the fire had been contained, if any.
