The contract for West Ada School District Superintendent Linda Clark will likely be center stage when district trustees meet Tuesday.
Several of the trustees say a June 23rd meeting, when Clark’s contact was voted on, contained a violation of Idaho’s open meeting law. Trustees say they will consider a “cure” to the June 23 meeting violation
Trustees were frustrated that the previous board granted Clark a one- year extension to her contract — for a total of three years — on the last meeting before the current board took over. They said the newly elected board should have made that decision.
Mike Vuittonet, a board member who was chairman of the previous board when the extension was adopted, defends his board’s decision and says the contract is valid.
Never miss a local story.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the District Service Center, 1303 E. Central Drive, in Meridian.
