A West Ada School District trustees’ closed-door session planned for Friday evening has been canceled.
The meeting was planned for 5:30 p.m. at the district office.
Tina Dean, board chair, did not immediately return a phone to discuss what led to the cancellation.
Trustees had announced that they would meet in executive discussion to consider hiring an employee or evaluating, dismissing or disciplining an employee or student and to discuss pending or possible litigation.

The board met in executive session Sept. 29 for two hours before returning to a public meeting and voting to voiid a contract that included a one-year extension for Superintendent Linda Clark’s contract through 2018. Trustees voted 4-1 to void the contract, saying it had been adopted June 23 by a previous board in a meeting that violated the state’s open meeting law.
