The Sandpoint Police Department has recovered a white Toyota they believe was stolen by murder suspect James P. Mancuso, 32, and Ashley Ford, 27, a woman they believe is traveling with him.
Police recovered the car in the Spokane Valley, according to a Sunday night post on the Sandpoint Police Department Facebook page. Mancuso and Ford are still at large and considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees the couple should call 911.
Mancuso is wanted for second-degree murder in the March 10 stabbing death of Robert Stevens in Nampa. Ford is wanted on a warrant for accessory to second-degree murder. Both charges are felonies.
According to Nampa police, Stevens was stabbed in the abdomen during an argument outside a home on West Kinghorn Drive. He died early the next day in a Boise hospital.
Mancuso and Ford reportedly left the scene of the stabbing together. Mancuso was spotted in Bonner County on March 23.
The U.S. Marshal’s Office is continuing the search for Mancuso and Ford.
