The Idaho Department of Correction took a walk-away inmate back into custody early Saturday morning, according to an IDOC press release.
They were looking for James Douglas Pearson, 25, an offender assigned to the Treasure Valley Community Reentry Center, who walked away from his job and was last seen at 11:50 a.m. in the area of 47th and Adams in Garden City, IDOC reports.
IDOC worked with Caldwell Police Department to locate Pearson who was taken into custody around 3:30 a.m.
He was serving a sentence of 3 to 10 years for burglary convictions in Bingham and Bonneville Counties. He would have been eligible for parole next March, and his sentence was scheduled for completion in 2023.
