An Owyhee County man and two northern Nevada men were indicted by a federal grand jury in Boise for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of meth with intent to distribute, Idaho's U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced Friday.
Jose Antonio Diaz-Juarez, 44, of Grandview and Elko, Nev. residents Diego Alcantar-Armenta, 29, and Daniel Valdenegro-Zafiro, 24, had their first appearance in court Friday.
The indictment alleges that between July 24 and Sept. 8 the defendants conspired to distribute methamphetamine in Idaho and on two occasions possessed meth with the intent to distribute it in Ada County.
A trial is set for Nov. 16 at the federal courthouse in Boise. The case is being investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Elko Combined Narcotic Unit of Nevada and the Ada, Elmore and Owyhee county sheriff’s offices.
