Five Boise Bench schools were put into lockdown Tuesday for about an hour when Boise Police Department asked the public for help locating a man with an arrest warrant, according to BPD.
The suspect, Gerald C. Lightfoot, 23, of Boise, was reported to be in the area of Albion and South Roosevelt streets Tuesday afternoon, but police couldn’t find him and believe he fled the area. Lightfoot is suspected to have information about several recent burglaries. So, police told the five nearby schools to shut down as a safety precaution, police said.
Lightfoot is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches, 175 pounds with brown hair, according to BPD.
Anyone with information on Lightfoot’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS.
