The city of Meridian will host a town hall meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave.
The public forum will give citizens an opportunity to hear the outcomes of a series of focus groups and stakeholder meetings held on the community’s current and future needs regarding parks, pathways, open spaces, recreational facilities, and related programming and services.
The city is gathering the information to help it update its Parks and Recreation master plan update.
“The information we gather will help provide the direction for our department over the next ten years. As our community grows and diversifies, we want to be confident our facilities and programming are keeping up with trends and interests, that our capital improvements will be wise investments, and that we continue contributing all we can towards our community’s high quality of life,” said Meridian Parks and Recreation Director Steve Siddoway.
The city also will live stream the public forum on its website.
