The ACLU of Idaho is hosting a day-long training to provide skills for those who want to become activists at the Idaho State Capitol this legislative session.
The training will consist of information and tips on how to lobby a state legislator, how a bill becomes a law, how to navigate the state legislative website, as well as a new training on power analysis and community organizing.
The training will also feature a "know your rights" component that will include the newest rules for convening and demonstrating at, in or around the Capitol.
It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Idaho Statehouse, Lincoln Auditorium.
Applications to participate are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12.
