Atlanta-based developer Carter plans to finish Vista, a 236-unit, two-part apartment development collectively called "Vista," before Boise State University's 2015 fall term begins.
The leasing office for the apartments opened Thursday.
Vista West, a 126-unit site on South Lusk Place, includes studio, two- and four-bedroom apartments, according to a news release on the development. Vista East, a 110-unit site located a quarter-mile away on South La Pointe Street, is a mix of studio, one- two- and three-bedroom units.
“We named this community Vista because of the amazing mountain and skyline views it provides residents,” David Nelson, senior vice president of Carter’s development team, said in the news release. “We’re excited about ramping up our marketing with the opening of our leasing center for what we feel is the premier off-campus apartment community in Boise.”

Vista will include private bathrooms in each bedroom, private clubrooms and fitness centers, game rooms, computer labs, hot tubs, bicycle parking, tanning beds, dog walk area and other amenities, according to the release. It will offer covered, controlled access parking on the first floor with three stories of housing located above the parking deck. Pinecrest Partners, a New York-based real estate private equity investment firm, is teaming with Carter to develop Vista.
"The firm has a reputation for creating high quality purpose-built student housing in close proximity to campuses at colleges and universities throughout the United States. In addition, The Preiss Company, the nation’s fourth largest, privately held student housing owner, will be the property manager," according to the release.
