The Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS) is seeking nominations for its 6th annual Leadership in Motion awards.
The awards recognize businesses, individuals, and projects that demonstrate leadership in supporting the Treasure Valley’s newly updated regional long-range transportation plan, Communities in Motion 2040.
Nominations can be submitted online and must be received by 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
"While Communities in Motion 2040 is just newly adopted," said COMPASS Executive Director Matt Stoll in a press release, "many proactive projects are already underway to implement the plan and help the region move toward plan goals." "In addition, keep in mind that COMPASS recognizes not only projects that implement Communities in Motion, but also individuals whose leadership has been instrumental in getting us where we are today and where we want to be tomorrow."
Awards will be presented in the following leadership categories: Ada and Canyon counties government, private business/nonprofit, professional, citizen/volunteer and elected/appointed official.
Last year's award winners include Ada County Highway District, city of Nampa and Boise Bicycle Project.
This year's awards will recognize efforts and projects that occurred between July 2013 and June 2014, and will be presented on Dec. 15.
