Nampa Recreation Department brings play to the community all summer long with its traveling playground.
Participants enjoy free, organized activities such as soccer, football, basketball, jump rope activities, volleyball, tag games and more. Each play session lasts about an hour.
The program takes place Monday through Thursday through Aug. 14 at eight Nampa parks: Mondays: 10:30 a.m. at Lions Park, Davis Avenue and Winther Boulevard; 11:30 a.m. at East Side Park, Roosevelt Avenue and S. Powerline Road.
Tuesdays: 10:45 a.m. at City Acres Park, 2nd Avenue North and 4th Street North; 11:45 a.m. at Liberty Park, Holly/Sunny Ridge Road and Constitution Way.
Wednesdays: 11 a.m. near the pool at Lakeview Park, Garrity Boulevard and 16th Avenue North; 11:30 a.m. at West Park, Lone Star Road and Midland Boulevard.
Thursdays: 11 a.m. Mary Ellens Meadow, West Iowa Avenue and Torrey Lane; Noon at Indian Creek Park, 2nd Street North and 17th Avenue North For more information about the Traveling Playground call 468-5858.
