A Nampa family’s lawsuit, filed after they lost their 4-year-old daughter in a car accident, was dismissed with prejudice April 25, according to court records.
The Defur family sued Canyon County and the county’s highway district, claiming there wasn’t enough signage on the road where the crash happened. Six adults and three children sustained injuries in the July 7, 2013 crash. An 18-year-old, driving a van, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Lake and Orchard avenues and crashed into the truck the Defurs were riding in.
Since the lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled.
