The 7-year-old Nampa boy who was hit by a school bus March 17 remains in critical condition at a Utah children's hospital, his aunt reported Monday on the GoFundMe page she launched to help the family.
Rashel Okrakel said the family has asked to keep details of his condition private. As of Tuesday afternoon, the GoFundMe campaign for Connor Wright and his family had raised $2,330 toward its $6,000 goal.
Nampa police are continuing their investigation into the accident and no decision has been made yet about charging the bus driver, NPD Lt. Eric Skoglund said Tuesday afternoon. The driver, a 73-year-old woman, was placed on leave pending the results of the investigation.
Connor Wright was critically injured when a school bus hit him while he walked to Centennial Elementary School school with his older brother March 17. The bus hit him in an unmarked crosswalk at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Beechwood Drive, police said.
