Boise city pools are opening Thursday as temperatures steadily climb up toward the 100s.
The city of Boise’s pools Borah Pool, at 801 Aurora Drive Fairmont Pool, at 7929 Northview St. Ivywild Pool, at 2250 Leadville Ave. Lowell Pool, at 1601 North 28th St. South Pool, at 921 Shoshone St. Natatorium and the Hydrotube, at 1811 Warm Springs Ave.
The summer season for swimming Boise kids will officially start at 1:30 p.m. Thursday for all of the city’s six pools.
All pools have certified lifeguards, are run by the parks and recreation department and have swimming lessons Monday through Thursday.
Meridian is opening its city pool on Friday with a free swim day going from 3 to 6 p.m. Its regular hours will start June 6 and the pool is located at 213 East Franklin Road.
