Frederick Wagner, 77, was headed east on Interstate 84 in a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban when his vehicle crashed about a mile west of the Gowen Road exit, say Idaho State Police.
ISP responded to the crash at about 10:35 a.m. Thursday. According to the agency, Wagner’s Suburban went off of the highway’s left shoulder near milepost 56. It traveled into the median, rolled and landed on its top.
Wagner, who wore his seatbelt, was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. His condition was not yet available from the hospital early Thursday afternoon.
I-84’s left eastbound lane was blocked for about 1 1/2 hours while crews cleared the scene.
