Idaho 55 will be closed for three hours Wednesday night between McCall and New Meadows for road work, and motorists are advised to plan ahead for the closure.
The highway will be shut down from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to a release from the Idaho Transportation Department.
Road crews plan to do rock blasting that night. If the weather is poor, they will reschedule the work.
Crews are widening shoulders, installing rock-fall protection and improving the alignment of four curves on Goose Creek Grade. Construction is expected to be completed by early next year, ITD reports.
Message boards will notify drivers of upcoming closures.
