A woman died, and her juvenile passenger was injured, when she failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer on US 95 just north of Wilder, Idaho State Police report.
Martha Munoz was traveling east on Red Top Road in a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado about 4 p.m. and did not stop at a stop sign when entering the highway.She was hit on the driver’s side by a semi headed south on US 95. The driver of the semi, 49-year-old Jaswinder Singh of Sacramento, Calif., was not injured.
Munoz died at the scene and her young passenger was taken by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Centeer. ISP did not include Munoz’s age and city of residence.
All three people in the crash were wearing seat belts, ISP reports.

The highway was closed in both directions for about 4 1/2 hours and reopened about 8:30 p.m.
