A wildfire was reported shortly after noon Friday between mileposts 98 and 99 near Mountain Home, the Bureau of Land Management reports.
The fire quickly grew to 10 acres and had the Interstate shut down for a short period of time, the BLM reports. Resources from the BLM Boise District and the Mountain Home Fire Department contained the fire by 2 p.m. It was contolled by 4 p.m.
No injuries or property damage were reported. The fire was human-caused and most likely vehicle-related, according to a BLM news release, but the specific cause is still under investigation.
Firefighting officials urge drivers check tow chains to make sure they aren't dragging and avoid parking or driving on dry grass.
