Two people were hospitalized late Monday night after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle on Meridian Road near Kuna, according to a Kuna Police spokesman. The crash occurred at about 11:15 p.m.
The 70-year-old male driver of the motorcycle and an adult female passenger, neither of whom were wearing helmets, had visible injuries that did not appear life-threatening. The driver of the car was not injured.
Investigators said the motorcycle was in the north turn lane of Meridian Road at the intersection with Deer Flat Road when it collided with a vehicle traveling south. The force of the collision knocked the motorcycle to the ground.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Officer noted a strong odor of alcohol from the motorcycle driver. Toxicology tests are pending. He had not been cited or charged as of late Tuesday afternoon.
