Wildflour Bakery is moving out of a garage in Boise’s North End — where it has operated for more than two decades — into a nearly 2,000-square-foot building at 304 E. 42nd Street in Garden City.
Construction began over the summer. Wildflour owner Mary Cogswell said Wednesday that she’s not sure about an opening date, but she’s hopeful for sometime in December.
“We had a slow start but things are cooking along,” she said. “I’m really happy to see things progressing, and I’m really excited.”
Wildflour’s specialty is cookies – that’s 80 percent of the business – but it also sells cakes, muffins, scones, baked doughnuts and granola. None contain preservatives.
The front section of the bakery will offer grab-and-go retail shop that offers coffee, espresso and, of course baked goods.
