A young boy was struck by a car Thursday evening on Liberty Street north of Fairview Avenue, according to Ada County Dispatch. The 14-month-old suffered abrasions but no other traumatic injuries, Boise Police Department spokeswoman Haley Williams told the Idaho Statesman.
At about 6:07 p.m., dispatch received a call of a child being hit by a vehicle. The child was not in a car and was in the street, dispatch said. The child was conscious and crying, according to the call.
The boy will be kept overnight in the hospital for observation, according to Williams.
Though the investigation is ongoing, there does not appear to be any criminal intention from the boy’s parents or the driver, Williams said.
