The Treasure Valley housing market remains healthy, as new building continues adding much-needed inventory to the market. There were 829 more listings of new and used homes in Ada and Canyon counties in September than in September 2012, according to the Intermountain Multiple Listings Service.
But the month-by-month data suggest the era of rapidly rising home prices could be stalling, especially in Ada County, where the median home price fell for the third straight month. It’s down 8 percent from its high point in June of $212,000. The median price in Canyon County has fallen 1.2 percent in that time.
