Karianne Fallow has been named CEO of the Idaho Dairy Products Commission. After 34 years of service, CEO Deana Sessions retired. Sessions had been the face of the Idaho dairy industry’s promotional efforts as Idaho became the nation’s third-largest producer of milk in the United States.
Fallow started July 8. She most recently served as director of public affairs for Red Sky, a public relations agency in Boise. Before that, she served for five years on the government-relations and public-affairs team at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. In addition, she managed and directed government relations efforts for Albertsons.
Fallow is president of Go Lead Idaho, which seeks to develop women leaders in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. She is vice chairwoman of the Eagle Historic Preservation Commission.
JoAnn Gurenlian, professor and graduate program director for dental hygiene at Idaho State University, will be installed as the president of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists at Cape Town, South Africa, in August.
The federation is a nonprofit established in 1986 to unite dental hygienists from around the world in their common goal of promoting oral health.
Jacquie Rieb has joined the regional CPA and business advisory firm of Eide Bailly LLP as a financial institutions compliance senior associate in the Boise office.
Rieb has 27 year of banking experience with 13 years in community banking. Most recently she worked for eight years at a community bank in the Boise area and served as the vice president and manager of internal audit.
Rieb volunteers at organizations including the Idaho Botanical Gardens, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Be Kind Idaho.
Rieb is a certified community bank internal auditor and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Boise Chapter.
Stacey Workman has been named secretary of the board of the Ada County Highway District Commission.
Workman succeeds Stephanie Blake, who served nearly three years as secretary.
Most recently, Workman was employed as the business development manager for an Idaho-based medical software development company. Before that, she served 13 years in marketing and sales leadership positions with the Portland Trail Blazers basketball franchise.
As secretary, Workman will maintain official records for the board and serve as executive assistant to ACHD Director Bruce Wong.
Workman holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Nate Mark, general manager of the Red Lobster in Boise, has won Darden Restaurants’ top honor, the Joe R. Lee Diamond Club Award, named after the company’s first chairman and CEO.
Now in its 16th year, the award is presented annually to general managers throughout North America who demonstrate leadership while achieving top financial performance in the company’s previous fiscal year.
This year, Mark was among 34 general managers selected from the more than 700 Red Lobster restaurants in North America.
Clint Paskewitz of Associated Insurance Services in Boise was recognized as the 2013 Young Agent of the Year at the 89th Annual Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Idaho’s annual convention in Coeur d’Alene.
Paskewitz began his career as a commercial underwriter in 1997 and has been with Associated Insurance Services since 2010. He is a member of the Exchange Club of Boise, a board member of Drugfree Idaho and a coach with Meridian Police Activities League. Young Agents of Idaho brings together insurance agents and brokers younger than 40 for cooperative learning, networking and industry engagement activities.
Benjamin Kelly, Kelly Associates, has been selected by the Idaho Association of Soil Conservation Districts as executive director. The association represents 50 districts.
Kelly is a native Idahoan and a graduate of Boise State University in political science. He has worked at Association Management Group in Meridian for the past five years. He is a registered lobbyist for several agriculture groups.
His responsibilities will include day-to-day management, planning support for the annual meeting, coordinating work among the districts and representing the association at events.
Nora Harvard and Franklyn Burke joined the Idaho Black History Museum board of directors at the July annual meeting.
Harvard earned a bachelor’s degree in health science from Boise State University and a master’s of health administration from the University of Phoenix. She owns Ivony Case Management, a firm dedicated to assisting adults and children with mental illness.
Burke is a research and development engineer at Micron Technology working on the next generation of DRAM and 3DI/TSV-based products. He has published numerous scientific research papers on nanoscale spintronics, magnetism and CMOS characterization. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Boise State University and a doctorate in physics from the University of Dublin Trinity College, Ireland.
Kadel’s Auto Body has announced its newest location in Meridian and the promotion of Jerry Ross to regional manager.
Steelhead Collision at 279 N. Baltic Place was acquired by Kadel’s Auto Body on July 1 from owner Lisa Waner. Steelhead Collision was constructed in 2005 and has been doing business in Meridian since. The original five-person staff is still in place.
Kadel’s Auto Body was founded in 1954 by Omar Kadel in Tigard, Ore., and has since grown to 18 locations throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho. It employs more than 300 people. Kadel’s original Idaho location is at 5102 Chinden Blvd. in Boise.
Ross started with Kadel’s Auto Body in Boise as an estimator in 1996, moving to Portland in 2000 as a shop manager. He returned to his home town of Meridian at the end of June to oversee the expansion of Kadel’s in the Boise market as regional manager.
Ross, a Meridian High graduate, received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boise State University in 1995.
Kriss Kirchhoff has been named an adviser to the Social Good Network.
Kirchhoff is an angel investor, president of the Boise Angel Alliance and a member of the executive committee of the Idaho Technology Council. He also serves as a board member or adviser for several companies in Idaho, California and Oregon.
In his previous career, he was the president of ACCO Brands, a publicly traded company, and a vice president and general manager for Hewlett-Packard, where he ran businesses ranging in revenue from $700 million to more than $1 billion. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, multiple markets, business models and business functions.
Social Good Network is an online fundraising platform that connects companies, causes and crowds through its “Go Anywhere Fundraising,” which uses the crowdfunding dynamics of storytelling and social sharing to increase their online fundraising. The company was co-founded in 2011 by Chief Innovator Antonia Chappell and Chief Do-Gooder Russ Stoddard.
