The IHOP restaurant at 1420 Nampa-Caldwell Blvd. in Nampa was forced to close for more than two days after vandals broke several windows early Wednesday morning.
An employee said Friday that the restaurant planned to reopen soon.
Nampa Police responded to a call at 2:49 a.m. on Wednesday. The windows were boarded as the restaurant awaited repairs.
Sgt. Joe Ramirez said police weren’t disclosing details because they don’t want to encourage copycat vandals.
Never miss a local story.
“We’re investigating this as a prank played on these folks,” Ramirez said.
A call placed to an IHOP spokesman wasn’t immediately returned.
