Zions promotes 3, adds 3 managers
Lori Hilton, Jesse Ronnow and David Osterlund have been promoted, and Ashley Beverage, Clint Root and Ronald Dinsmoor have joined the Treasury Management Department of Zions Bank. The department helps business clients streamline how they collect funds and disburse payments.
Hilton has been promoted to treasury management sales administrator, responsible for administrative, operational and product management and support bank-wide in Idaho and Utah. She previously was the treasury team leader for Western Idaho.
Ronnow has been promoted to regional treasury manager for Idaho. He joined the bank in 2005 to help expand the department in Eastern Idaho and was promoted to team leader for the region in 2009.
Osterlund has been promoted to assistant relationship specialist, responsible for merchant service and bank proposals, technical implementation, reporting and support. He joined the bank in 2007 as a treasury management specialist and was promoted to technical implementation specialist in 2010.
Beverage, Root and Dinsmoor are treasury relationship managers. Beverage will focus on clients in the Boise Commercial Banking Center and Idaho Commercial Real Estate Group. Root will support the bank’s Boise and Meridian financial centers as well as Premier Wealth Management and the Women’s Financial Group. Dinsmoor will focus on the Lewiston and Moscow markets.
Zions Bank operates 26 branches in Idaho and 101 in Utah.
Wells Fargo helpsHispanic students
Wells Fargo and the Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation, a sister organization of the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, awarded $25,000 to 11 students for the 2013-14 school year.
The Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation was organized in 2006 and has given more than 20 scholarships to help overcome financial barriers that many Latino students face.
The 11 winners were selected from 94 applicants statewide.
Zions helps fund Nampa shelter renovations
Zions Bank presented a $1,000 donation to the Boise Rescue Mission to support renovations at its 15,000-square-foot Lighthouse Men's Shelter at 304 16th Ave. N. in Nampa.
The project cost of $1.8 million includes the land purchase and renovations.
The Rev. Bill Roscoe, executive director of the Boise Rescue Mission, said the shelter will seat 115 people for meals and will accommodate 108 sleepers. The current location on Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard seats 50 for meals and sleeps 40.
In addition, he said, the new location is geographically closer to the people it serves, many of whom have limited access to transportation. He noted that the new building layout is also more welcoming to women and children who visit the shelter for meals.
The Boise Rescue Mission is the primary provider of homeless services in the state. It has four facilities in Ada and Canyon counties.
U.S. Bank donates to schools foundation
The bank donated $5,000 to the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation. The funds will help support the Boise School District’s annual Young Writers’ Conference for the 2013–14 school year.
Home Federalpromotes Carter
Jessica Carter has been promoted to assistant vice president and security officer at Home Federal Bank. Based in Nampa, Carter will maintain responsibility for fraud loss mitigation strategies and investigations as well as bank secrecy act compliance. She also will oversee the bank's physical security procedures along with robbery prevention and response programs.
Carter has worked for the bank for eight years, most recently as a fraud investigator. She graduated as a corrections officer from Pioneer Pacific College in Wilsonville, Ore., and is a member of the White Collar Crime Committee.
Harper joins Zions
David Harper has joined Zions Bank as vice president and manager of the Boise Fairview and Cole Financial Center. He is responsible for business development, customer service, community outreach and overall management of the financial center and its staff.
Harper previously spent nine years as a senior vice president with FirstBank in Palm Springs, Calif. He earned an International Master’s of Business Administration from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
Harper has been active in the community as a board member and treasurer with the East County Child Care Council.
