The Treasure Valley housing market has been going gangbusters, and if the Intermountain Multiple Listings Service’s latest report is any indication, the market will stay strong, with total sales and median prices far outpacing 2012.
However, both sales and median prices decreased marginally in Ada and Canyon counties last month. And real estate agents say they aren’t receiving multiple offers as frequently as in recent months.
“It used to be you could price a $250,000 house at $260,000 or $265,000 and you’d be fine,” says Janet Parsons, real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty Boise. “Now, you better price it at $250,000 or you won’t get the showings or interest you should.”
