Senate panel blasts Pentagon, Lockheed Martin over F-35

The Pentagon's signature aircraft for all military services, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, came under blistering criticism Thursday at a Senate hearing for cost overruns that have nearly doubled the cost of each plane, ongoing technical problems and schedule delays that have kept contractor Lockheed Martin from increasing production.

  • Piano walk part of Riverside Hotel's new grand entrance

    There's live music every day at the Riverside Hotel - and a musical theme to the major renovation of the Garden City hotel's main entrance and surrounding decor. The hotel installed a granite piano walk and musical note racks for bikes and paddle boards. This round of renovations started in March and finished up in September. A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017.
