    Jason Smith, a construction worker from Caldwell, ended up homeless on the streets of Boise with three young sons. He eventually landed at Interfaith Sanctuary, and he credits the shelter's former Assistant Director Tim Flaherty with getting back on his feet. Flaherty, who spent time in federal prison for wire fraud, is now soliciting donations to start a day shelter for families in Boise.
