Sheriff's officials say it appears the estimated $300,000 worth of the drug was grown somewhere in the rural mountain areas north of Boise.
An ongoing federal investigation stopped them from being more specific.
Jeremy Nicholas Riggi, 26, and Christopher E. Yardley, 26, both of Boise; Michael John Tate, 27 of Star, and Brook Abraham Vogt, 33 of Meridian, were all charged with felony delivery of marijuana. Yardley, Riggi, and Vogt were also charged with criminal conspiracy, according to Ada County Sheriff's reports.
Deputies say the raids began after Riggi, Yardley and Vogt sold an undercover police officer five pounds of marijuana in a parking lot near the Eagle/Ustick roads neighborhood around 3 p.m. Thursday. Deputies found another pound of pot in the car, according to reports.
Deputies had been investigating the men since April and made a buy from at least one member of the group before Thursday's arrests.
The investigation led deputies to search a storage shed at an apartment complex on Bloom Street near State Street in Northwest Boise, where they found another five pounds of marijuana locked in a safe, Ada County Sheriff's spokeswoman Andrea Dearden said.
And at home on Ronco Avenue in Caldwell, near the Homedale Road and South 10th Avenue neighborhood, deputies found an additional 105 pounds of the drug. No one was home at the time of the raid and deputies say more arrests are possible.
Deputies arrested Tate at his Star apartment Thursday night.
The marijuana delivery charges are punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Preliminary hearings for all four men are set for early December.
The trafficking conspiracy charge is punishable by 3 to 15 years in prison.
