BOISE - Preservation Idaho met for the second time Thursday night to work on an ordinance to protect historic buildings that the group wants to present to the Boise City Council.
Earlier in the day, demolition crews knocked down large portions of the 120-year-old school. The historical preservationists started the effort for the new ordinance after the Boise school district officials decided to tear down Cole and Franklin schools to more easily sell the properties.
