The Central District Health Department has announced that free vaccinations for students in Mountain Home schools will be held from Nov. 10 to Nov. 24.

As supplies allow, the nasal spray version of the vaccine will be used.

The school district will provide parents with consent forms that must be completed before any student will receive a flu vaccination. The forms will also be available for download from the CDHD website: www.cdhd.idaho.gov

Parents of enrolled students who have siblings not yet old enough to attend school or who are home-school may bring them to their child's school on the day the vaccination clinics are scheduled.

Students absent from school on the day of the vaccination clinic may still get a free vaccination from the Central District Health Department by calling the Mountain Home office of CDHD at 587-4407 and make an appointment.

The exact start at the schools will vary, but generally morning vaccination clinics will start shortly after the beginning of the school day and afternoon clinics after the lunch period.

The schedule is:

- Tuesday morning, Nov. 10: East Elementary School

- Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 10: West Elementary School

- Thursday morning, Nov. 12: Mountain Home Air Force Base primary

- Thursday afternoon, Nov. 12: North Elementary School

- Tuesday, Nov. 17: Mountain Home Junior High School

- Thursday, Nov. 19: Hacker Middle School

- Tuesday, Nov. 24: Mountain Home Sr. High School

- Glenns Ferry school students will be given the H1N1 flu vaccination by the school nurse as consent forms come in.

For more information, visit Central District Health Department: www.cdhd.idaho.gov or call the CDHD Flu Hotline at 321-2222.
