Two Boise residents were treated at a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries after their car collided with a motor home on Interstate 84 near Nampa Monday evening.
The driver of the motor home, Lee Dickson, 42, of Morgan, Utah, was cited in connection with the crash, but Idaho State Police officials did not say Tuesday what the charge was.
ISP officials say Dickson was driving the motor home on westbound I-84 around 6:55 p.m. Monday and attempted to move into the left lane when the left front bumper of the RV hit a 1999 Lincoln Continental, driven by 45-year-old Robert Robison. The force of the impact caused the Continental to spin into a highway barrier and flip over on its top, according to ISP reports.
Robison and a passenger in the car, 64-year-old Margret Robison, were taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center for treatment following the accident. Both Robisons were wearing their seat belts, according to ISP reports.
Westbound traffic on I-84 near milepost 39 was reduced to one lane for about 90 minutes while crews investigated the accident and removed the debris from the roadway.
