What was the fuss? A junior hockey player mooned his fellow teammates during an impromptu game of strip hockey at a practice at Idaho IceWorld.

What did police conclude? Dropping your drawers and exposing your buttocks may violate Boise's decency laws in some contexts, but not in this one. "There was no evidence that a crime was intentionally committed," police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said Monday.

What was the punishment? The 17-year-old wrote a letter of apology to the city, and the Idaho Junior Steelheads coach suspended him for three games. "He said he was very sorry, very remorseful," said Doug Holloway, city superintendent of recreation. "He's asked to be given the ability to rebuild trust."

Bottom line? The team was banned from practicing at the city-owned rink for four days, and the one boy was banned for nine days. Coach John Olver said the player has been sufficiently punished for his "poor judgment." Said Olver: "As far as we're concerned, the incident is over."
