The allegation: Police say 37-year-old Kyle Cameron Dennis did "knowingly engage in obscene live conduct before an audience of at least one person" at Costco and Walmart three times this spring.

The charge: Dennis was arrested on a misdemeanor charge and released from jail after posting bond. A court date was set for Nov. 2.

At school: The Boise School Board placed Dennis on paid leave Monday, spokesman Dan Hollar said. Dennis, who was hired in 1996, teaches geometry and other math subjects and has been varsity boys basketball coach for three years. His father is Dehryl "Tony" Dennis, Boise superintendent from 1994 to 1999, whose name is on a Victory Road technical education center.
