Quilt shops across the Treasure Valley and in McCall, Baker City and Halfway, Ore., donated $5,674 to Project Linus, a nonprofit group that provides children around the world who are ill, traumatized or otherwise in need with a handmade blanket.
The shops organized a Treasure Valley Shop Hop, in which quilters visited all shops in 10 days to purchase kits for coordinated quilt blocks. Those who made it to all 17 shops logged over 600 miles. Info: www.linusidaho.org.
