Exergy Development Group will begin this summer to build 14 wind parks across southern Idaho that will produce 228 megawatts of electricity and put Idaho in the top 20 states for wind power.
The Boise-based company will create 275 jobs during the seven months of construction and 22 permanent positions in the largest wind development project to date in the state.
Exergy already developed a wind park at Fossil Gulch near Hagerman. These parks will be built in Elmore, Cassia, Lincoln and Bingham counties.
The new wind parks will produce enough electricity to power about 60,000 homes.
